Dear Parents and Guardians of Rising 7th Graders,
It’s that time of year where your children start the transition process for Middle School! This has a lot of information, and we encourage that you take the time to read everything thoroughly. You may have received the following information via post mail or e-notify from Kilmer and Thoreau too. Below are the Rising 7th grade events that are happening at Kilmer and Thoreau soon. This year Kilmer and Thoreau’s Curriculum Night will be virtual at the same date Feb. 3rd and do overlap on time. Kilmer’s is Feb 3rd, starting at 6PM while Thoreau’s will be Feb 3rd, from 5-8PM.
Additionally, both Kilmer and Thoreau are coming to Stenwood to help our rising 7th graders with selecting and registering for courses on Feb. 10th –9AM-10AM. Please ensure that they have no appointments on that date and time so they can take advantage of this event!
*Note For Parents of students eligible for Level IV services: If you are living in the Thoreau Middle School boundaries, your child is eligible to attend Kilmer as their assigned center school. Some of you have already told us your decision. For those that haven’t yet, you may want to attend both Kilmer and Thoreau events to make your decision. They are both virtual but unfortunately at the same time. They will be recorded and available later to see though. The link for the Curriculum Nights will be sent to you by the school. Level IV Families in the TMS boundaries, we will send you the KMS zoom link for their curriculum night.
Do not hesitate to contact Ms. Hapangama at [email protected] if you have any questions.
